Stage 2 of the Metric Challenge for 8 mji, 6 m JI and 5.5 JI took place from 23 to 25 June in Bénodet. Conditions were perfect, with winds of 6 to 8 knots on the first 2 days, and 14 to 22 knots on Sunday. And it was sunny the whole time. 7 boats turned up, 2 classics, 2 moderns and 3 evolutions.

The winner was Joker FRA 50, which also won the Christian Hauvette trophy, followed by Bagheera VIII FRA 43. The first classic was New Life, a 1956 Camatte design, which won the Pierre Penther Trophy.

It was also the first outing for FRA 53, In Extremis, the Odet yacht club's boat made available to a young crew.
