Ali Baba (GER 215 Wölfi Richter, Beate Kallkowski, Tom Braun) wins the Salzkammergut Preis 2023 and also the classification of the Modern boats. Arcano (AUT 24, Dirk Harms, Maximlian Hoyer, Eugen Kossina) is second and wins the Evolution class. Waasa (AUT 66 Werner Fritz, Stephan Holzinger, Peter Farbowski) came third in the Salzkammergut Prize classification. Lady Luv (GER 8, Manfred Pöschl, Johannes Bandtlow, Wachs Peter) wins the Classic classification.

On Friday, two races were sailed in a challenging west to south-west light wind. On Saturday, the strong south wind blew away the clouds of the weather front and three races were sailed within a few hours. On Sunday, the Traunsee showed its best side with its low wind, so that one more race could be sailed.

The Salzkammergut Prize has a modern, evolution and classic classification as well as a yardstick classification. Once again it became clear that it is not always the Modern boats that win races.
