Report Regatta Rolle, 11-14 May 2023: Coupe de Rolle & Coupe de la Harpe.

The 5.5m sailors, along with the 15m and 6m yachts, spent a pretty great couple of days on Lake Geneva, even though the weather was cool, and wet at times.
We almost had 10 boats at the start (versus 17 boats of the 6m!) - the new boat of Jörg Sonntag (ex Tobias Isler) could not come because of a road construction site in front of the garage at the upper lake of Zurich. So we were 9 boats at the start. Jörg came anyway and sailed 1 day with me (on boat of Jack, SUI 217, because I broke my mast on the road), and then on a 6-er.
Besides Wölfi (on his new boat GER 125, ex Hans-Peter SUI 213) I was also happy to have ITA 79 with Mariacristina and her crews. Thank you for coming the way to us!
Personally, I was also very happy to see Frédéric de Rutté on his Evo SUI 175 once again. He has participated more than 40 times in the Coupe de la Harpe.
The wind was often good, from 2 to 4 Bf, except at the beginning of Thursday and on Sunday for the last run the wind fell asleep. The courses were very well laid out, pleasant length, and we could always start again quickly.
Bernard Haissly won with his team on SUI 214, winning all 10 runs! A super bravo. The rest of us have to train a bit more, and hopefully other boats will come to the regattas, so SUI 214 won't get bored.

At the Coupe de Rolle Wolfi was second, Mariacristina third, and at the Coupe de la Harpe, Patrick on SUI 226 was very strong with 4 second places, Mariacristina ended third.
There were also highlights on shore: the joint dinner at the club was extremely fine, the cheese before the dessert was very much appreciated. Very nice, and for all those who had to go on a longer way home also very welcome, was the delicate apero after the prize distribution. The friendly and cheerful team at the club really spoiled us. So it is really a lot of fun.
