Straight after the Swiss Open at Brunnen on Lake Lucerne, the fleet of 15 5.5 Metres sailed the Rigi Cup. Race wins went to New Moon III (BAH 25, Mark Holowesko, Christoph Burger, Hervé Cunningham), Caracole (SUI 214, Bernard Haissly, Nicolas Berthoud, Daniel Stampfli)  and Ali Baba (BAH 23, Flavio Marazzi, Max Salminen, Gregoire Siegwart).

The race area was Lake Uri, the same as on Tuesday. The wind was a quite constant force 2-3 from a northerly direction. The race committee had great timing again, got the fleet out at right moment, and finished early enough before wind died. It was still nice and warm, almost like Bahamas, just no salt water and the legs a bit longer than on day 1. It was tricky as sometimes good lifts close to the shore, sometimes better in the middle of the lake. However it was great sailing.

On Friday no racing was possible with extremely heavy rain and flooding in the area and hardly any wind on Friday, so Ali Baba took the win from Aspire (POL 17, Mateusz Kusznierewicz, Przemysław Gacek, Edward Wright) and Caracole.
