Autumn time - boatshow time

In mid November, the 5.5's had been invited to present two 5.5mR Classic boats on the stand of FKY (Friends of Classic boats).

The "boat & fun" boatshow in Berlin is a regional watersports tradeshow, covering a wide range of boat-types, clubs, asociations and boat equipment.

On display at the FKY stand have been 5.5 GER 2 "Berlin", a G. Brandt design, built in 1952 at the Joh. de Dood boatyard in Bremen and 5.5 GER 11 "Charybdis", a 1963 Ohlson design, built at Kungsör's boatyard.

Both boats had undergone some restoration, hence were a perfect match to the woodenboat enhusiasts, visiting the FKY stand.

They are expected back in International 5.5m regattas, in a not too distant future.
