Another fantastic day of racing with Sydney Harbour turning on the weather. Kings Cross sailed magnificently and put a scare in the Skagerak camp with 2 wins in 3 races. Whereas yesterday we had a distinct division between the first 5 boats and the last 4 boats, today the fleet was extremely close together. The results were fascinating, with the Classic fleet outperforming the Evolution fleet with 3 Classics in the top 5 boats.
Congratulations to Skagerak who won the Gold Cup and the National Championship plate and to Kings Cross who won the Silver Cup.
Thank you to everyone who competed and to the volunteers for another successful National regatta.
Race report | Day #1
A great day today with 4 hotly contested races. Spinnaker work was the discussion of the day back at the club with several broken blocks, wine glasses and other issues.
Skagerak is our leader at the end of day 1 with Baragoola 2nd ahead of Kings Cross on count back.
