Wood 5.5 Built 1960's -

This fast and historic 5.5, (now named "Tango"), was built by Chris Christiansen in Southport and designed by Jerry Milgram, MIT professor, for the 1968 Olympic time trails in Newport Beach, California.
The revolutionary "Lady Luck" was one of the first computer designed 5.5's. She has been my prize possession for over 30 years. Equipped with aluminum mast and stainless rigging. Construction is Mahogany over oak frames, with a composite plywood/glass deck - and while she was configured originally as an open-cockpit racing 5.5, she has been 'Cruizerized' with a small wood cabin that includes:
2 main berths - Flotation type foam cushions - 12 volt battery system - 12-gallon cruising fuel tanks - Potty - V-berth - Teak Cabin Sole - Stove - Canvas awning for use at anchor - AM/FM Cassette (marine type)

Sailing equipment includes:
Full sails - Main, Jib, Genoa - 2000 Evinrude auxiliary 7.5 hp (low hours) - Recent main Sheet block system - All running/Standing rigging in excellent shape - All Standing rigging -stainless and oversize - Large fendairs - Large Aluminum anchor (Danforth) - Life Jackets - Running lights - Auto Electric Bilge pump - Whale gusher manual pump - 4 Lewmar winches

Tango could easily be returned to her original racing configuration -

This boat has had the same loving owner for the last 30 years - and it is now available 'to good home only'.

She is in excellent healthy condition with very good wood, and canvas cover. This boat is stored "in the water" and is located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Asking $24'500 USD, and I will help you prepare for shipping, if necessary.
