The Scandinavian Gold Cup Goes Back To Finland After Sixteen Years
Eight nations were represented in this year edition of the prestigious 5.5 Meter Scandinavian Gold Cup in Helsinki, Finland.
The Bahamas, Finland, France, Germany, The Netherlands, Norway, Sweden and Switzerland.
The regatta was hosted by the NJK, the oldest yacht club in Finland.

A New Skipper For The International 5.5 Metre Class Association
The International 5.5 Metre Class Association hold its Annual General Meeting in Torbole, Italy during the World Championship on Wednesday September 8, 2010.
The members of the Class are pleased to announce the election of well-known fellow 5.5 sailor Kaspar Stubenrauch from Germany as the new President of the association.

5.5m World Champion Title goes to Switzerland
A fleet of thirty boats gathered on Lake Garda from the 6th to the 10th of September to compete in the 2010 5.5 Metre World Championship.
The Race Committee of Circolo Vela Torbole did an excellent job in staging the seven races that were on the schedules. Winds conditions and ambience were fantastic.
Swiss Olympic Star sailor Flavio Marazzi together with his crew consisting of Aussie sailor Andrew Palfrey and Swiss boat builder Christof Wilke dominated the championship and took the first place overall with a total of 13 points and one race to spare. With this victory, Marazzi captured his fifth World Champion Title in the 5.5 Class.
