UPDATE #3
Very light wind and strong currents are probably the few words that are summarizing the best today’s 5.5s’ Dutch Open Championship. Only a single race was sailed. Quite a hectic start due to the lack of wind and a nearly 4 kts of tide pushing the boats straight down the line.
Smart as she should be and with an incredible speed in these light conditions, Silver Fox (BAH-20) was able to play the shifts the best and finishes the fifth race of the series first with a lead of 9 minutes. Second Feng shui (NED-26) and third Shaolin (SUI-210).
Odlo (NOR-65) and Pungin (SUI-213) got confused and unfortunately went for the wrong top mark.

The fog delayed the morning start but once dissipated, three races were sailed in 8-10 kts from the North and quite an important tide.
Odlo (NOR-65) wins two of the three races today with Silver Fox (BAH-20) stealing her the gun in the first race.
After 4 races, Burger/Odlo (NOR-65) has a comfortable lead with a total of 5 points, second is Vlasov (BAH-20) with 12 points, tied with 15 points we find Bredero (NED-31) and Pasman (NED-26) and in fifth position with 21 points Menzi (SUI-222). Note that Menzi was declared OCS in the first race of the series yesterday unlike what the preliminary results were initially showing.
