Sep-9, 2010 | Day #4
The 5.5 World Championship is valid: five races as of today, with two races sailed this morning.

A picture-perfect day of sailing for the 5s on Lago di Garda. Early start at 09:00, a sunny day and northerly winds at about 18-20 knots. Some crowded mark roundings, a few breakdowns and Flavio Marazzi increasing his lead with a first and a third place and 8 points. Bahamian sailor Gavin McKinney "John B" experienced a spinnaker crash in the first race and did not finish but he led the entire second race and got the bullet!

Results after five races:
1. SUI-224 "Ali-Baba" Marazzi 8 points
2. NOR-57 "Artemis XIV" Nergaard 20 points
3. NOR-65 "Odlo" Burger 20 points
4. FIN-66 "Kan-Bej 2" Thelen 26 points
5. SUI-214 "Caracole" Haissly 37 points

Sep-6, 2010 | Day #1
Thirty boats gathered at Circolo Vela Torbole on Lake Garda, Trentino in Italy to compete from today on until Friday in 5.5 World Championship.

"A fabulous first day" explained Kaspar Stubenrauch. Wind between 16 and 20 knots and two races sailed. Although some minor repairs are needed on a few boats, a bunch of happy sailors returned to the club for an after racing cocktail invitation organized by our friend Felix Bibus. "Thank you Felix for the invite. We miss you on the water!"

Double bullets for Swiss sailor Flavio Marazzi and his crew today!
